Student apartment prices in Nicosia on the rise

As the hunt for apartments for university students for the new academic year is beginning, prices in Nicosia are on the rise, according to incyprusproperty.com of Philenews and other real estate websites.

Due to the fact that there are many students from abroad and mainly from Greece over the recent past years, the demand for apartments has increased.

In fact, in most ads for apartments new or even a little older, the owners make it clear whether they are aimed strictly at students. And in areas that are adjacent to universities apartments run a little more expensive.

For example, a new fully furnished apartment, with kitchen, refrigerator, ceramic hob, electric oven, washing machine and air conditioning, which is 63 square metres big, goes for €700.

A 60 square metres student apartment near the Russian embassy goes for 500 euro. A 45 square mere apartment in Aglantzia intended for students has a rent of 450 euro per month and in the same area a one bedroom apartment goes for 550 euro per month.

Also in Aglantzia an 80 square metre bedroom apartment that is fully furnished goes for 650 euro including utilities.

Going over to the Hilton Area a 35 square metre apartment again advertised for students that comes with electrical appliances has a rent of 480 euro per month.

On the flip side a 50 square metre two bedroom apartment in Aglantzia goes for 590 euro and a 90 square metre apartment has a rent price of 600 euro.

A one-bedroom apartment of again 50 square metre in the area of Engkomi this time though that comes furnished has a rent of 500 euro and in the same area an apartment of 75 square metres runs for 650 euro per month.
