Some cloud, dust and increased risk of showers later today

Weak low pressure is affecting the area and there will be dust in the atmosphere at intervals until Saturday morning.

Today will see increased cloud which from midday on will lead to isolated showers mainly in the mountains and in the northwest, while some light showers are forecast in the west and north.

Temperatures will rise to 23 C inland, around 21 C on the coast and around 16 C in the mountains.

Tonight will be mainly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the west and north.

Temperatures will fall to 11 C inland and the north coast, around 13 C on the remaining coasts and around 2 C in the mountains.

The Met Office is forecasting local showers and isolated thunderstorms on Friday

On Saturday night and Sunday morning there may be snow or sleet in the higher Troodos peaks.

Temperatures will edge down until Saturday, remaining at the same levels on Sunday at close to average for the time of year.
