Police have made a second arrest as they investigate the transfer of a house in Limassol using a forged letter of proxy.
The 31 year old Limassol resident was arrested on Sunday. It follows a complaint by a permanent resident abroad that his house in Limassol district had been transferred to another person without his permission.
Police investigations showed the house was transferred to a 37 year old using a proxy letter that was found to have been forged.
The 37 year old is already in police custody as police investigate a case of conspiracy to defraud, fraud during the sale or mortgage of property, fraudulent transactions regarding property belonging to someone else, forgery, obtaining property under false pretences and money laundering.
Limassol police are continuing their investigation.
