In its message on Twitter, it said that Thursday will be another thundery day across Cyprus with localised downpours or rain and gusty winds. Some brighter spells will be short-lived, it added.
Earlier on Thursday, the Met Office of the Republic of Cyprus issued a yellow alert warning of isolated heavy thunderstorms. It said the rain intensity may locally exceed 35 millimetres and may be accompanied with hail.
