Robot ASTRO1 to be launched into space from Europe Square in Larnaca

The biggest educational robot in the world, ASTRO1 that was designed by students of the PASCAL English School in Larnaca, will be launched into space from Europe Square in Larnaca transferring into the atmosphere the experiments of 1,700 students from 27 schools in Cyprus.

As a teacher of Pascal English School said, the launching will take place at 12:000 today using a meteorological balloon of the Meteorology Department.

The launching will take place live and people interested can watch it on You Tube visiting the website cypruspaceup2021. The robot will travel for three hours and will reach approximately 90,000 feet.
