Ramona Filip Fashion Designer

Ramona Filip was born in Romania but has been living in Nicosia Cyprus since 1999. Ramona has had no formal training in fashion design, but has an inherent talent for proportion, colour and fabric combinations as well as an instinctive eye for quality and beauty that quickly established her as a permanent figure in the world of fashion.

Ramona had her first spotlight as a designer in the summer of 2002 when she introduced her haute couture collection “The Dream” while simultaneously launching her label RAMON FILIP. She has since staged numerous fashion shows in London, Athens and Nicosia. In 2012, she expanded her brand to include luxury leather bags from exotic skins sourced from the finest tanneries in the world.

In 2009, Ramona was presented with the award “Best Designer of the Year” at the Madame Figaro Women of the Year Awards. She had the privilege of receiving the award from one of the biggest style icons and Oscar nominee, Patricia Fields.

Today, Ramona is operating from her studio in Nicosia, which has become a hot house for evening dresses and prêt-a- porter deluxe. Her collections are timeless, elegant and luxurious, enhancing the feminine silhouette through simple and contemporary designs.
