President to announce cabinet’s Covid-19 decisions at 7 pm

President Nicos Anastasiades will this evening announce the decisions taken by cabinet on the coronvirus pandemic, widely anticipated to include the extension of the lock down until the end of April.

The president’s remarks will be broadcast live at 7 pm from the Presidential  Palace. With him will be the ministers.

Besides the extension of Covid-19 measures until the end of April, the Council of Ministers is also understood to have discussed proposals by competent ministries for economic and social support measures as well as the issue of  the possible repatriation of Cypriot students abroad that do not belong to vulnerable groups.

The ministerial committee on coronavirus had convened on Monday under President Anastasiades and discussed further steps to manage the Covid-19 crisis.
