The Cabinet is meeting Friday to decide stricter measures following the outbreak in COVID cases in Cyprus. The island the last days reports more than 1,000 cases a day while the hospitalizations are also on the rise.
The Ministers` meeting under President Anastasiades started at 1100 and the measures to be announced include stricter protocols in overcrowded places where clusters are detected the last days. Most probably citizens will have to show safepass everywhere for their entrance.
After the meeting at approximately 1400 local time the President is expected to address the public and to urge the citizens once again to follow the measures and protocols and to get their vaccines.
