President Nicos Anastasiades is flying to Vienna tomorrow afternoon for a two-day official visit at the invitation of the President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen.
On Wednesday, President Anastasiades will be officially welcomed by the President of Austria for a private meeting at the Presidential Office, in Vienna, which will be followed by expanded talks between the delegations of the two countries.
After their talks, the two Presidents will make remarks to the media.
The President of the Republic will also attend an official luncheon, hosted in his honour by the Austrian President.
On Thursday, President Anastasiades will meet with the Chancellor of Austria Sebastian Kurz.
During his meetings, President Anastasiades will discuss, among other issues, the latest developments regarding the migration issue in the European Union including the increased migration flows to Cyprus, Turkey’s policy on the matter and the situation at the Greek borders with Turkey, which are also EU borders. He will also brief the Austrian leaders on the current situation concerning the Cyprus problem.
