President Anastasiades reads Little Prince on FB (video)

President Nicos Anastasiades picked one his favourite stories to read to children on the Facebook page of the Fairy Tale Museum on Easter Sunday.

Anastasiades, who has in his television addresses often spoken of how he misses not being able to see his children and grandchildren because of the lockdown,  chose The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

After ending the book, Anastasiades said: “My dear children, I am also a grandfather and these days I miss my grandchildren. Just like your grandfathers and grandmothers miss you. But if we want to live as we used to … we have to be careful and to protect the people we love.”

Be good and be patient, and the days of joy will come, he said.
