A weak high pressure system is beginning to gradually affect the area.
Tuesday will start off partly cloudy and there may be isolated rain and thunderstorms. Snow of sleet is forecast in the mountains.
Temperatures will be 19 C inland, the south and east coasts, around 18 C on the north and west coasts and 7 C in the mountains.
Tonight will become gradually fine with possible light fog expected early on Wednesday morning. Temperatures will fall to 6 C inland, 8 C on the coast and 1 C in the higher mountains.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be mainly fine with increased local cloud at noon and in the afternoon.
Temperatures will edge up until Friday to a little above average for the time of year.
At the time of issue of the early weather bulletin there was 52 cm of snow on Troodos Square.
