Pope to come to Cyprus with his Swiss guard

Pope Francis will come to Cyprus with the special army, also known as Swiss guard while the details of his trip will be decided next Thursday when officials from the Vatican will come to Cyprus for the second time.

The Police will use more than 350 policemen who will form an umbrella of protection of the Pope who is seen by many people as the number one target of terrorists.

There is great interest for the arrival of Catholics from other countries of the Middle East while thousands of foreign helpers who work in Cyprus together with other Catholics will want to be blessed by him.

As already reported, he will hold an open-air mass at GSP stadium in Nicosia and there is a plan B in case the weather does not permit open-air gatherings.

He will stay at a Franciscan monastery next to the Roman Catholic Holy Cross Church in the medieval heart of Nicosia. The Pope will bring a cook and other staff for his care while special vehicles will be provided for his movements.
