Police in Cyprus fined 42 individuals and six shop owners over the past 24 hours for violation of protective measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
The Force had carried out a total of 3,141 inspections all across the island, according to CNA.
Most fines were issued to individuals not wearing protective masks in public spaces and in establishments.
In Nicosia, the Police carried out 1,117 checks reporting 10 individuals and one premise owner and in Limassol 309 checks were carried out with 20 individuals and 2 shop owner reported.
In Larnaca, 4 individuals and 2 shop owners were reported following 454 checks, in Pafos 2 individuals and 1 shop owner were reported after 354 checks, in Famagusta 439 checks were carried out with 6 individuals reported, while 165 checks were made in Morphou with no fines issued.
No reports were issued after checks of the Traffic Department and the Marine and Port Police.
