Police fined 166 individuals and two establishments all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for breach of measures aiming to contain the coronavirus.
The Force had carried out a total of 10,590 checks, according to CNA.
In Nicosia, out of 1,580 checks 31 individuals were booked, while in Limassol 2,211 inspections led to 81 individuals and a shop owner getting a fine.
In Larnaca, police carried out 2,196 checks and booked 21 individuals, while in Famagusta 1,332 checks led to 11 individuals getting fines.
In Paphos, 1,345 inspections led to 16 individuals and a shop owner getting fines, while 1,327 checks in Morphou led to three individuals getting booked.
Moreover, Port and Marine police carried out 78 inspections and fined no one.
