Police fine 34 over violation of coronavirus preventive measures

Police carried out a total of 1,788 inspections throughout Cyprus over the past 24 hours and fined a total of 34 individuals for violating measures in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus. No establishments were booked.

All fines were handed out to people not wearing a protective mask in public spaces or/and premises.

Two individuals were reported in Nicosia district, 20 in Limassol, seven in Larnaca, two in Paphos, two in Famagusta and one in Morphou.

At the same time, Port Police carried out 95 inspections and reported no violations.
