Ayios Andronikos Apartments
(Kalopanayiotis, Nicosia)

Through the Valley of Marathasa, the beautiful village of Kalopanayiotis rises up to the mountain top, and this is where Ayios Andronikos Village Apartments were created.

Ayios Andronikos Apts consists of a three story building that was first build around 1890 and fully renovated at 2008. The building itself is a combination of traditional architecture and revolutionary modern ideas. There you can find 4 one bedroom suites and 2 studio type suites. All six apartments are overlooking the beautiful river of Setraxos, with nothing blocking the view.
All suites are designed in an elegant style to combine tradition with technology. All of them have facilities like fully equipped kitchen with lounge, LCD TV’s with a DVD player, stereo with USB port, and floor heating. At one of the suites there is a Jacuzzi and a fire place. Bed linen and towels are also provided.
What is more because in the 1950’s one of the owner’s family’s occupations was to carry healing water from the river side to the guest houses, it provides sulphide water baths on demand in 3 of the suites.
Next to the house there is a 16th century chapel of that is dedicated to Ayios Andronikos and Ayia Athanasia. This chapel is unique because of its wall paintings.

Antigone
(Spilia, Nicosia)

This small traditional house stands in the centre of Spilia village in the Troodos Mountains. Built in 1870 by Nicolas Kapournays using stones and clay ‘plithari’, it was renovated and had its doors re-opened in October 2007 by the Minister of Interior, during a ceremony organised by the village.
On the first floor of this two-storey house, you can see the unique ‘museum of the shoemaker’ created by its owners, Andreas and Flora Chrysanthou, in memory of Andreas’ father.
The house consists of one bedroom with a traditional bed and wardrobe, both made at the beginning of the 20th century. The sitting room, with exciting traditional furniture, depicts a living museum. A beautiful kitchen and a small veranda with traditional flowers complete an exceptional small house, in which you can enjoy an unforgettable environment.
You can obtain leaflets about the village sights, historical and cultural places near Spilia, including nature trails etc for free.
The hospitality of the owners offering you traditional sweets and meals are an added treat, reminiscent of the Greek and Byzantine past.

Archontiko “i Misirlou”

Archontiko ”i Misirlou” was the ancestral home of Catherine Dragou and Elia Triselioti, a red brick manufacturer. The house, located on the main street of Kalopanayiotis, was constructed from Elias’ red bricks. The top floor of the building once housed the renowned “Elias café” best remembered for its traditional doughnuts. The residence is located on the main street of Kalopanayiotis and provides panoramic views of the Marathasa valley and St. John’s Lambadistis Monastery. It was renovated in 2011,following the high standards set by the Rural Development Funding Program for traditional residences.

Capacity/Facilities:
The building now consists of two self-contained two-bedroom houses with a fireplace and one studio. Both houses and the studio include hot and cold air A/Cs, a fully equipped kitchen, living room and veranda furniture, LCD TV, DVD player, electric towel heaters, hair dryers, refrigerator, oven, ceramic hobs and all modern conveniences.
Optional additions include a Jacuzzi bathtub, extra bed. Baby cot for all apartments available, can be provided upon request free of charge. Complementary fire wood is provided for the first use.

ATRATSA Mountain Suites is licensed by the Cyprus Tourism Organization and is comprised of 2 studio suites, 2 one-bedroom suites and 1 two-bedroom suite, all handsomely furnished and well equipped. The studio suites have a mezzanine floor which accommodates the bedroom, leaving the remaining area more spacious and comfortable. The one and two-bedroom suites have separate spacious sitting rooms and can comfortably accommodate couples, families and larger groups.

The cool breeze which encircles the complex the whole day because of its orientation and altitude renders the ceiling fans which are available an adequate and suitable cool climatic system.

Wooden ceilings with wooden beams, together with walls of mountain stone emphasize the traditional Cyprus village architecture. Guests can enjoy a panoramic view of Kalopanayiotis, the surrounding forest and mountains and the neighbouring village of Oikos, from the wooden balconies and the tiled veranda. Facilities
All the suites have a kitchenette fully equipped with an electric cooking panel, electric kettle, toaster and fridge with mini-bar. Each suite has its own shower room and toilet, and constant hot water. The furnishing is of a high standard and includes single or double beds, bed-side tables, dressing table, sofas, armchairs, dining table, 32” LCD television set and ceiling fans. All necessary white liner (bed-sheets, blankets, bath and face towels) is provided. The whole complex is centrally heated during the winter months.

In the traditional neighbourhood of Lythrodontas village lies Avli (Georgallides Courtyard,) an exquisite example of popular architecture consisting of three old brick buildings with wooden roofs and tiles, unified upon their restoration.
Because of its noteworthy traditional character, the entire complex has been declared an antique building by the authorities and all materials and techniques used for its restoration are traditional and indigenous to the area.
Avli has five bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom.
Some of the characteristic elements you will enjoy are the reception area with its carved arch and tiled floor, the large kitchen and fireplace, covered verandas with magnificent view of the village and the hilly environment surrounding it, as well as the sunroom on the raised section of the building.

Today, Kastri Guest House comprises three apartments: the “executive suite” is a large two-bedroom apartment on the first floor with a spacious living room and dining area, a fireplace and a Jacuzzi. The other two apartments –a studio and a one bedroom flat- are on the ground floor. All apartments are fully air-conditioned (hot and cold) and are all equipped with a TV set, DVD player and free Wi-Fi.
