Patients call on public to not panic-buy medicine

The Pancyprian Federation Of Patients Associations (Osak) has called on the public on Monday to not stockpile medication and assured that there is enough in the Cypriot market for everyone.

In the announcement, that was made following consultation with the Cyprus Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (CAPC), Osak urged patients to only purchase drugs prescribed by their doctor to ensure that all people who need their medication can get it.

“We call on all citizens to behave responsibly and show solidarity to chronic patients who need medication for the daily management of their illness,” the announcement concluded.
