A 31 year old woman from Paphos was robbed, assaulted and tied up at her apartment last night.
Police said that at around 10.30 pm on Saturday night, the woman responded to a knock on her door to find a man she did not know. She tried to shut the door, but the man forced his way in and according to the woman’s report to the police, hit her, tied her hands, grabbed her mobile phone and a sum of money and fled.
Once he had left, the woman rushed to a neighbour who untied her hands and called police.
Paphos CID officers visited the scene and took away evidence.
The woman described the man as 1.70 metres tall, with short black hair. He was wearing dark jeans and a black hoodie.
Police are investigating a case of robbery and causing real bodily harm.
