Paphos: Safe with cash, luxury car stolen from Peyia home (updated)

 

Burglars broke into a home in Peyia, loaded a safe with cash on to the owner’s luxury car and drove off, the Cyprus News Agency reports.

It said that that burglary was committed some time between June 14 and 18.

It was reported to police by the owner of the house, a Chinese national.

He said that the burglars had stolen the safe which contained 20,000 euro and 10,000 dollars in cash and drove off in his luxury car worth 70,000 euro.

The burglary and theft were spotted by the woman housekeeper.

Police are investigating.

A few hours later, the luxury car was discovered on fire in farming area in Achellia.
