Weak low pressure is affecting the area while a low pressure system is expected to affect the area from tonight and tomorrow.
Wednesday will be mainly overcast with scattered showers at intervals and isolated thunderstorms. Snow or sleet is possible on the higher Troodos peaks.
Temperatures will rise to 18 C inland, around 20 C on the west coast, around 19 C on the remaining coasts and around 9 C in the mountains.
Tonight will be mainly cloudy with local showers and /or thunderstorms initially which will later become more intense. Snow or sleet is forecast in the higher Troodos peaks. Temperatures will drop to 11 C inland, around 14 C on the coasts and 4 C in the mountains where frost is expected,
Thursday will be mainly cloudy with scattered showers in most areas and isolated thunderstorms and snow or sleet in the higher Troodos areas.
On Friday, there will be intervals of mainly fine weather and intervals of cloud. Scattered showers and/or thunderstorms are forecast, while snow or sleet is expected in the higher Troodos peaks.
Temperatures will edge down on Thursday to a little below average for the time of year but will edge up again on Friday. It will drop to close to average for the time of year on Saturday.
