Whats On Concerts Nina Simone Tribute at Vinylio

Nina Simone Tribute at Vinylio

Nina Simone was a genre-defying musician whose recordings blended jazz, folk, classical piano and blues. She recorded countless iconic songs during her career, including “Ne Me Quitte Pas,” “Feeling Good,” “I Put a Spell on You,” and the jazz staple “My Baby Just Cares for Me.” Simone’s music was about love and respect – and their opposites, particularly in relation to race. It’s hard to overstate the immeasurable legacy left behind by Nina Simone. While she only received two GRAMMY Award nominations in her lifetime (and two posthumously), Simone’s artistry continues to earn newfound meaning through the music of countless contemporary artists, documentaries and books. With an all-encompassing discography, Simone was one of the first jazz artists to truly defy genres and set the stage for generations of jazz music to come.

Join us on Saturday, February 1 at 9:30 pm, as we honor the great artist Nina Simone with a musical tribute at Vinylio Wine Bar (Limassol)! Vocalist Alice Ayvazian will be joined on Stage with Achileas Tomazides (saxophone) and Alexis Kasinos (guitar) for a heartfelt performance of many of her greatest hits!
