A satellite casino will open in Nicosia on December 10 and one in Larnaca on December 17, Melco executive president Lawrence Ho has told Insider magazine.
In an interview, Ho said that the opening of the satellite casinos in Paphos and Ayia Napa will follow in 2019.
“The Cyprus Casinos in Limassol and the satellite casinos are legal gaming venues and will contribute significantly to combatting illegal gaming,” he said.
Asked whether he was satisfied with the operations of the temporary casino – which opened in Limassol in late June, he said that up till the beginning of November it had welcomed 264,739 visitors and has 14,500 registered members of the C2 Rewards Club loyalty programme.
“C2 has become an important attraction for both locals and tourists. Besides Cypriots, our visitors are mainly from Israel, Greece, Russia, the United Kingdom, Romania, Lebanon, China, Jordan and Bulgaria,” he added.
