A 19-year-old Syrian man is in Paphos General Hospital with knife wounds and his 20-year-old housemate from the same country in police custody following Monday evening’s bloody incident.
The two asylum seekers who were staying in the same house in Gerorkipou apparently argued over the contribution of rent. They started fighting first inside the house and then outside, police said on Tuesday.
Neighbours who saw and heard the two young men arguing had called the police.
