A 22-year-old intoxicated driver lost control of his car and hit a pavement before crashing into a restaurant on Democracy Road in Ayia Napa at 3:55 in the morning on Thursday.
He only suffered minor injuries while the restaurant’s damages are extensive, police said.
The restaurant was closed at the time, thankfully, police also said.
The final reading of the driver’s alcotest was 57 mg, way above the legal limit of 22 mg.
