A 19-year-old man lost his life in another road accident around 10 in the evening on Sunday on the Paphos-Limassol highway, just before the Limassol General Hospital exit.
Police believe speeding was the main cause of the accident during which Sotiris Toumazou, a mechanic from Kolossi, died instantly.
He was behind the wheel when he lost control of the car which first hit the highway’s protective rail before overturning several times. He was not wearing a seat belt, police also said.
As for his 16-year-old female co-driver she has suffered minor injuries but was kept in hospital for additional tests.
