A yellow warning since 11pm on Thursday over very strong to gale-force winds is in effect till 8 in the morning on Friday.
The warning was issued by the Cyprus Meteorology Department.
Very strong to near gale westerly to northwesterly winds force 7 to 8 Beaufort have peridocally hit the west, the north and the southwestern coastal areas.
