The Cyprus Department of Meteorology issued a yellow warning on Friday for heavy thunderstorms – valid from 11.00 local time till 17:30.
“Isolated heavy thunderstorms may affect mountainous and inland areas,” it said.
“Shower rates will range between 35 and 50 millimeters per hour, while hail is likely,” it added.
