A yellow warning for high temperature was issued by the Meteo Service.
It is valid from 01:00 after midnight until 1700 on Friday.
According to the warning overnight the minimum temperature will fall to around 26 C inland and 25 C over the northern coasts.
On Friday the maximum temperature will be around 42 degrees inland and around 33 over Troodos highest peaks.
