The Mediterranean island’s Meteorology Service on Monday issued a yellow alert for strong rain and isolated thunderstorms all across Cyprus between 8am and 6pm.
At the same time, a thunderstorm alert has been issued for the area around Larnaca International Airport.
The Service also announced that, during storms, precipitation rates are expected to range between 35 and 50 millimetres per hour.
