Winter weather is set to grip Cyprus over the weekend with possible snow fall in the mountains, strong winds on the coasts and rain in many parts of the island.
This is what the Meteorology Service said on Friday, adding that the temperature will remain more or less the same – a slight decrease to be recorded. But a slight increase will be recorded on Sunday and Monday.
Specifically, Saturday will be partly cloudy with isolated showers and possible thunderstorms. Snow, or sleet, on Troodos mountains is on the forecast.
Sunday will be increasingly cloudy with possible isolated showers, while Monday is expected to be partly cloudy with rain and strong winds by early afternoon.
