Winter forecast to be relatively warm and dry

Despite the higher than average rainfall for October, the met office is forecasting the next two months will be a couple of degrees above average, while rains will disappoint.

According to its seasonal forecast temperatures will be average and slightly above average particularly on the coasts. Rains are forecast at between 50% and 70% of the average, except for the west and north where they are forecast at 75% to average.

Temperatures in November are forecast to be average except for the coasts where they will be slightly above average. Rain is expected to range between 50% and 75% of the average on the south and east coasts and 75% to average elsewhere.

The northeast will see above average rain of 125%.

December temperatures are forecast to be 1°C  to  2°C  higher than average. Rain will range between 50% to 75%  of the average throughout Cyprus, except in the southeast coast where it is forecast at below 50%.
