Weak low pressure is affecting the area while there will be dust in the atmosphere from Sunday evening until Wednesday, the Met Office said.
Today there will be intervals of sunshine as well as intervals of cloud with scattered showers and the possibility of thunderstorms, mainly at midday and in the afternoon.
In the higher Troodos peaks, there may be sleet. Winds will be moderate to strong and in places very strong.
Temperatures will rise 20 C inland and on the coast and around 8 C in the mountains.
Tonight there will be intervals of mainly fine weather and intervals of cloud with isolated showers and the possibility of sleet or snow in the higher Troodos peaks.
Temperatures will fall to 10 C inland, 12 C on the coast and around 3 C in the higher mountains where locally there will be frost.
Monday will initially be mainly fine, but gradually there will be increased mainly medium and high cloud which are expected to lead locally to light showers.
On Tuesday there will be intervals of mainly fine weather and intervals of cloud and local showers or thunderstorms are forecast in the afternoon and mainly in the evening. The same pattern is forecast for Wednesday, although by late in the afternoon the weather will become mainly fine.
Temperatures will edge up gradually until Tuesday to a little above average for the time of year. They will drop a little on Wednesday.
