A private water taxi service from Paphos to Latchi and the Akamas National Park in less than an hour will be provided by Latchi Wibit Ltd, Philenews reported on Wednesday.
The private company’s alternative Akamas Eco Fast Ferry/Sea Taxi plan aims to transport up to 250 passengers by catamaran boat from the port of Paphos to that of Latchi in 55 minutes.
And the goal is, through defined routes within every two hours, to transport about 1,000 visitors a day throughout the summer months. That is, around 150,000 to 200,000 visitors a year from Paphos to Latchi and return.
The company’s head Savvas Hatziminas said the Akamas Eco Fast Ferry will be very safe with comfortable seats and luxury facilities for passengers.
This includes free wi-fi, TV sets, a tour guide and specialised staff for navigation and passenger service.
