Animal lovers are trying to help rescue two dogs — a male and a female — abandoned on the Kambos – Pyrgos Road near Limnitis Bridge and in need of veterinary care as well as food and water.
They were spotted by excursionists who visited the area over the August 15 and publicised the sorry plight of the dogs on social media. Some of them left food and water for the animals who appear to have been left to die in the mountains.
Philenews contacted the Dog Valley Rescue Centre in Limassol who said that the refuge can take in the dogs. Efforts are now underway by volunteers to rescue the dogs and transport them to the centre.
