The car of a 67 retired woman teacher in Ayios Athanasios, Limassol, was the target of criminal action early on Thursday morning.
Police said a self-made explosive device went off around 2.45 am, with initial indications suggesting that it had been placed at the back of the car.
A 40 year old man, who is known to the police and is the woman’s neighbour, was arrested on Thursday and remanded in custody for five days by Limassol District Court.
