Police are investigating a complaint filed by a 19 year old tourist that she had been gang raped at a hotel in Ayia Napa, philenews reports.
It said that police have arrested 12 individuals from Israel who are expected to appear in court tomorrow to be remanded in custody.
The woman is to be examined by a state pathologist, the site said.
The Cyprus News Agency said the woman is a 19 year old Briton who told police that she had been raped by 12 young men in a room of the hotel where she was staying a little after midnight on Wednesday.
It said that she had told police that the 12 Israelis were staying at the same hotel.
Famagusta CID officers are continuing their investigation.
