A number of road works launched more or less simultaneously in central parts of coastal Paphos have sparked unprecedented traffic jams, Philenews reported on Monday.
It is really unbearable, Traffic Police said and added that congestion problems are reported at entry points of the city as well.
And that mile-long queues of cars stalled or moving at a turtle’s pace are recorded.
Police officers have been on the road every morning at key junctions trying to ease the situation, however, problems and delays prevail especially at crucial roads such as the Mesogi to Paphos Hospital.
As well as from Tassos Papadopoulos Avenue to the Paphos General Hospital roundabout and to the Electricity Authority of Cyprus. Construction works are also underway on Evagoras Pallikarides and Griva Dighenis avenues and central roads from Kato Paphos to the heart of the city.
