Authorities in Paphos are worried about increasing cases of underage driving.
According to police, in recent months five minors were found driving either their parents’ cars or motorcycles in the Polis Chrysochous area.
The rise in reported cases is attributable to more traffic police checks being conducted.
Some of the minors caught did have the right to obtain a student driving permit, but they were not accompanied by an adult driver, as stipulated by the law, police said, while others were below 17 years of age.
