Police arrested a 55-year-old Ukrainian woman in Larnaca on Monday evening after she had threatened with a knife a group of Russians celebrating the national flag day of their country.
The incident took place around 9:30pm opposite central Faneromeni church and the woman who was screaming at the Russians in her own language seems to had been highly intoxicated, police also said.
She is expected to be charged with the felony of carrying a knife outside the home, common attack, being intoxicated, disturbing the peace and carrying a weapon in a bid to carry out terrorism acts.
