An 80-year-old tourist from Austria lost his life on Sunday afternoon while swimming in Ayia Napa.
The tourist, who was vacationing in Cyprus with his wife, drowned at Melissi beach.
In a second incident, a 67-year-old tourist from Russia was spotted unconscious in the water at a Protaras beach.
Lifeguards brought the man to shore unconscious and an ambulance took him to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
