Two persons, aged 49 and 25, were detained in connection with police investigations into a case of illegal possession of fire arms.
Following a tip-off from a 27-year old, police found in an abandoned flat, in a village in Famagusta district, a number of cartridges, 47 to be exact, and other gun related items.
 According to the police, a 49 year old woman and a 25 year old man lived in the abandoned flat from March 2016 to the summer of 2019. Both were arrested to help police with the case.
