Two nurses at Larnaca General Hospital’s Endoscopy Department have also been tested positive to covid-19, a health official said on Thursday.
The new cases come only hours after another nurse at the same hospital was tested positive after a family member was confirmed to have the coronavirus.
State Health Services Organisation’s Pambos Charilaou also told state radio that all of the week’s appointments have already been cancelled and that two doctors and four nurses are in self-isolation.
Charilaou also assured that no patients are in danger because all health protocols were enforced promptly.
