Tuesday to start off mainly fine as Cyprus prepares for low-pressure moving from Aegean

The weather on Tuesday will start off mainly fine in the morning, however, it will give way to increased cloud after noon, as low pressure moving from the Aegean Sea is expected to affect Cyprus.

Winds will be northeasterly to southeasterly, weak to moderate, force 3 to 4 Beaufort.

The sea will be smooth to slight.

Temperatures will rise to 18 C inland and on all the coasts and 9 C on the mountains.

Rain and thunder will come as of early Wednesday morning, while snow is expected on the highest mountains by Wednesday evening.

Both on Wednesday and Thursday thunderstorms are on the forecast, along with a drop in the temperature.

The temperature will be near or slightly below the season’s average, the Met Service also predicts.
