The peak of the Troodos Mountains is always the first to welcome the winter snow but on Wednesday villages sitting on its edges also got dressed in white.
Among the snow-covered villages are Spilia, Kakopetria, Polystypos, Farmakas and Agros.
At the same time, police are warning of extremely dangerous driving conditions and that many roads are now closed.
They are only open to vehicles with four-wheel drive or with anti-snow chains.
Specifically, closed are the following roads:

Pedoulas- Pine wood.

Platres-Troodos
