Trilateral meeting of Cyprus, Greece, Israel in Nicosia focuses on energy, disaster response

A trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Cyprus, Greece and Israel on Friday takes place in Nicosia focusing on further strengthening the close cooperation in various areas, such as energy, disaster response and environmental protection.

Cyprus’ Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos, Greece’s Nikos Dendias and Israel’s Eli Cohen will initially be received by newly-elected President Nikos Christodoulides.

Subsequently, the three Ministers will participate in the Trilateral Meeting and are set to make joint statements to the press around noon.

According to an official statement in Nicosia the Trilateral Meeting “will focus on further strengthening the close trilateral cooperation in various areas, such as energy, disaster response and environmental protection.”

In addition, discussions are expected to cover international and regional developments, including the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, as well as the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
