Police in Geroskipou are investigating a complaint by two tourists who said they were shot at with a paintball gun on Sunday evening, Philenews reported.
The two women said that as they were walking on the Geroskipou coastal front, young men in a white car shot at them, hitting one of them and splattering her with paint, but missing the other.
The women are staying at different hotels in Geroskipou.
Police have launched a search for the perpetrators.
