A tourist from Jordan had cash and valuables worth more than €7000 stolen from a shop in central Larnaca, the Cyprus News Agency has reported.
It said that around 6 pm on Thursday, the tourist had gone into the changing room of a shop to try on some clothes, leaving her bag outside. But when she came out of the changing room, her bag was missing.
She told police that her bag was worth €2,000 and in it she had rings, two mobile telephones worth €3000, as well as cash — € 1600, $2160 and other denominations.
As part of their investigations, Larnaca CID will check the shop’s CCTV.
