Tourist campaign by breakaway regime in Germany

Relevant News

The breakaway regime is carrying out a misinformation campaign in Germany advertising holiday packages for Cyprus, including tours of various historic monuments and churches.

However, it is not mentioned or clarified that these are occupied areas outside the control of the Republic of Cyprus.

Tourist leaflets for the occupied north have been spotted in German towns, advertising cheap vacations (15 days for 199 euros), Phileleftheros reported citing information.

The package includes return flights to the airport of occupied Tympou with a credible airline, as mentioned, as well as transportation to a five-star hotel by bus.

During the first seven days in Cyprus, visitors will have the chance to tour Nicosia, ancient monasteries and churches, parks, museums, Famagusta, and other places where the entrance is included in the price of the package.

For the other eight days, visitors are offered the chance to relax on the beach and enjoy the hotel’s facilities like a heated pool and spa. Additionally, a German-speaking guide will always be available.

The Deputy Ministry of Tourism is aware of the issue, but it is the Foreign Ministry that is responsible for managing the case.
