A total of 36,786 COVID-19 cases were diagnosed in Cyprus as of last Monday, of which 236 died due to COVID-19.
The case fatality risk is 0.6%, according to data by the Health Ministry released on Friday.
The same data also shows that in the last 14 days (February 24 – March 9,) 3,528 cases were diagnosed.
The 14-day cumulative diagnosis rate is 397.3 per 100,000 population.
The median age was 37, 53.1% were females (1,875 in total), 46.7% males (1,646 in total). And for seven cases (0.2%) information is not currently available.
By place of exposure: 1% (35) were imported and 99% (3,493) were locally-acquired.
In addition, as of Thursday, March 11, 171 people were still hospitalized.
The median age of patients still hospitalized is 65 years, 59.1% (101) are males, and 70.8% (121) are from Limassol district.
Hundred-twelve cases (66.7%) still hospitalised have comorbidities.
And out of 22 cases in intensive care units (ICU), 18 were intubated.
The median age of current ICU patients is 68 years and 18 (81.8%) are males.
Eighteen (81.8%) patients currently in ICU have pre-existing conditions.
Moreover, over the last 14 days, 39,725 RT PCR and 522,215 rapid antigen tests have been performed all across Cyprus.
By age group, confirmed cases included 717 infants, children and adolescents aged 0-19 years-old (20.3%), 2,250 adults aged 20-59 years (63.8%).
In addition, 557 persons aged 60 years and older (15.8%), and for four cases (0.1%) information is not currently available.
The median age of all cases diagnosed in the last 14 days is 37 years while that of adult cases (over 18 years) is 42 years.
