There is a lack of strong institutional framework for recycling – Green Dot

The challenges faced by Green Dot in the sector of recycling were discussed during the Annual General Meeting of the company.

According to a press release, during the AGM which took place on Thursday, May 30, Green Dot President Michalis Spanos referred to the challenges the organization is faced with, among other things, the lack of a strong institutional framework which promotes recycling and delays in the establishment of a system for managing non packaging paper.

It is further added that problems arising from the fact that persons obligated to register in recycling systems do not do so were also outlined.

Spanos also informed shareholders about the steps taken to renew the organisation’s license which expires in June 2019.

After the AGm the new Board of Directors was formed. Spanos was reelected as President, while Marios Tsiakkis and Marios Hadjigavriel were elected as Vice Presidents.  Christos Poullaides was elected as a new member of the board.
